Enjoy a memorable evening of inspiring readings and music from Bryn Athyn Cathedral’s magnificent organs.

SUNSET ORGAN VESPERS

Mark your calendars for our September organ vespers when Rev. Malcolm Smith will offer the readings and Hanna Yoon, Organist at Brandywine Valley Baptist Church in Delaware and student at West Chester University, will be on the organ bench. The program will include Bach's impressive Passacaglia and Fugue in C Minor, Widor's Andante Sostenuto from Organ Symphony Gothique, Alain's dramatic Litanies, and Duruflé's Prelude et Fugue sur le Nom d'Alain.  Featured contralto Robin Bier will sing Bach's Agnus Dei from B Minor Mass and Duruflé's beautiful Pie Jesu.

 Vespers lasts an hour and is suitable for ages 12 and up.  Younger families are welcome to listen quietly outdoors.

Note that doors open at 7:10pm (no preludes) and entrance to the Nave will be restricted after 7:30pm.  Please allow sufficient time to find a parking spot.

The Cathedral grounds will open at 6:30pm for self-guided smartphone tours of the gardens.
