Christmas Worship Services

Family Festival Services on Christmas Eve

Tuesday, December 24, 2024: 4:00, 5:30, 7:00 pm at the Bryn Athyn Cathedral
"In the Company of Angels"- Rev. Derek Elphick

The Christmas story is woven together by the glad tidings of angels. The angels didn’t simply announce the birth of Christ; they gave specific directions, counsel and support to the participants of this holy event. This Christmas Eve service will be a wonderful reminder that we live in the company of angels and that we have the opportunity to let their glad tidings reign in us in new and different ways.

There will be about 20 minutes' worth of preludes before each service ending with a soprano soloist just before the service starts.  There is a handbell choir in the balcony that will play preludes, interlude, and postlude.  The congregation will also sing five hymns.

Christmas Day Adult Worship Service

Wednesday, December 25, 2024: 11:30 am at the Bryn Athyn Cathedral
"Prince of Peace"- Rt. Rev. David Lindrooth

How do we turn to the Lord as the “Prince of Peace?”   What kind of peace does He offer?  How does the Lord ‘make’ or create peace in our lives?  His peace is only produced by Him, and it is only available to us today because of His birth subsequent Glorification! Christmas, therefore, is an opportunity to take steps to enjoy this special gift from heaven.
