About This Group
Young adults (aged 21 to 40) are invited to come on Saturday mornings to a doctrinal class led by Rev. Jeremy Simons. We will be working through The Last Judgement and Continuation Concerning the Last Judgement approaching the text as Divine Revelation from the Lord. The goal is to have a chance to discuss doctrine and application and have a good time with other young adults who have a desire to learn from the Lord and follow Him.
"There is no knowing the Lord without truths; and without truths there is no faith and so no charity" (True Christian Religion 619).
"Nothing is of more importance to man than to know what is true" (Arcana Coelestia 794).
"Where two or three are gathered together in My name, there I am in the midst of them" (Matthew 18:20).
"The church [is] where the Divine truth of the Word is, and where the Lord is known thereby" (Apocalypse Revealed 649).
"It is assumed that faith exists so long as the church's teachings are believed, so that it is with those who believe. But believing by itself is not faith, only willing and doing what is believed is faith" (The Last Judgment 36).
Timing & Location
We will meet weekly for approximately an hour, starting at 10am. Come for coffee, refreshments, and socializing beforehand.
We will meet at the Bryn Athyn Cathedral for now.
