Thanksgiving Day Service

Thursday, November 25, 10:30 am (Cathedral)

Please join us for this year’s Thanksgiving service which will be held in Bryn Athyn Cathedral. Everyone is invited to bring an offering (fruit, root vegetables, winter squash) for the procession during the service (see below for earlier dropoff).

We will have the wonderful brass band again (although somewhat smaller) and we look forward to giving thanks together again this year.

The service will be livestreamed as well as piped outdoors so we welcome people to sit outside (bring your own chair) to listen to the service. For young families, there will be seating/space to watch the livestream in the Social Hall. We respectfully ask that you wear a mask indoors at this service so that we may have the largest gathering possible worshiping together.

NOTE: If you intend to watch the service remotely but want to bring a fruit donation, we invite you to bring your offering on Wednesday, November 24, to the Cathedral between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. Please drive up to the porte cochere and bring it inside into the vestibule where there will be baskets ready to receive your offering.

Thanksgiving Service Van Shuttles

For Cairnwood Village residents, pick-up times are 9:45, 10:00 and 10:15 am. Shuttles will return people to their cars and Cairnwood Village following the service.

For other drivers, please use the Cairnwood and Glencairn Museum upper parking lot and continuous pick-up will start at 10:00 am.
(NOTE: Part of the lower lot is closed for construction.)

Volunteer

This year’s Thanksgiving service will be at the Cathedral, and there are lots of ways volunteers can help! Please contact Nina at nina.dewees@brynathynchurch.org if you would like to get involved.
