VISITING FRIENDS, STEPHEN MINISTRY AND PASTORAL SUPPORT

The Bryn Athyn Church has the following programs to provide support to people throughout the cycles of their lives:

Visiting Friends – This is a network of volunteers who do informal and occasional visits to support individuals who are lonely or house-bound. The next meeting of volunteers is on Wednesday, August 5, at 1:00 at the Pastors’ office.  This would be a good time to let us know if you would like a visit, or are interested in getting involved by being a Visiting Friend.

Stephen Ministry – For those who are facing difficult life challenges. This is confidential one-on-one, lay Christian care in which the person and a Stephen Minister meet for about an hour a week, for as many months as needed. This is a more regular, formal caring relationship.

Pastoral Visit – When you or a loved one is facing a spiritual challenge or needs pastoral counsel or support, the Bryn Athyn pastors welcome requests for a pastoral visit. We like to visit those who are in the hospital, in crisis or just needing pastoral support, but we may not know of your need unless we hear from you.

If you would like to get involved in any of these programs, or you have a need that can be fulfilled by these programs, please contact nina.dewees@brynathynchurch.org or call 215-947-6225 ext. 206.
