Opportunities to Give this Christmas

The donations received from the Special Christmas Celebration Drive-By on December 13 (taking the place of our Tableaux services) will be a gift to the pastors of Bryn Athyn Church. This is an opportunity for all to participate in appreciation for those who serve our community. A donation box will be available at the end of the procession at the Cathedral, and volunteers will also be available to accept donations. Donations may also be made online at (choose Christmas Tableaux Fund).

December 2-14 (Bryn Athyn Cathedral)

Christmas is an opportunity for us to shower our neighbors with love and care. We invite you to buy a Christmas gift for one of the 35 children of HELP Philadelphia, a transitional, low-income housing complex located in West Philadelphia. Look for a Christmas tree decorated with angels in the Cathedral Coat Room. Each angel tag asks you to buy a gift for a child of a specific age and gender. You are invited to take a tag, buy a $15-$20 gift for that child, attach the tag to the unwrapped gift and place the gift under the Angel Tree. Please keep ethnic variety in mind when purchasing gifts. We hope to have all the gifts under the tree by Monday, December 14. For questions, contact Julia at 215-947-0266 x4600.

To participate in this year’s card, send your contribution to the Treasurer’s Office, POB 277, Bryn Athyn, PA 19009. Contributions must be received by December 11 in order to be included in the card. Please make your check payable to Bryn Athyn Church, put “Christmas card” in the memo and state how you would like your name(s) to appear on the card.

If you would like to try the envelope system for basket offerings, please call Sue Adams at 215-947-6225 x201 so we can send you a box of envelopes for the year 2021. We provide envelopes for each Sunday and special services. A number on the envelope identifies the giver while maintaining confidentiality. If you have used offertory envelopes for this year (2020), you do not have to request one for 2021. This system supports regular contribution habits for both adults and children. We provide an acknowledgement of your offerings at the end of the year. Please let us know as soon as possible if you no longer wish to receive these envelopes.                                              ~ Stewart Asplundh, Treasurer
