Journey Series and Opportunities to Serve

This year’s Journey program, What Would Love Do?, provides a beautiful exploration of the Biblical text of Matthew 25. In this text the Lord teaches that how when we serve others, we are also serving Him. With this in mind, we are looking to coordinate a variety of service opportunities throughout the Journey series. Please let me know if you are energized to help out with the organization of any of these. It would be a delight to share this effort. (And if you have other ideas you’d like to pursue I’d love to help you make them happen!)

  • Expanding food collection efforts, and a team to deliver collected food.
  • Helping connect people who can’t get to church with rides to church
  • A community picnic focused on welcoming and meeting new people
  • A celebratory meal: planning and preparations
  • Help with the new prison ministry effort
  • Help with a Pay It Forward Crew workday
  • Being a host or leader of a small group
  • Being a Greeter for the Shane Claiborne Kick-Off Event (October 3 at 7:00pm at Mitchell Performing Arts Center)

Please sign up here forWhat Would Love Do? or contact Small Group Coordinator, Bronwen Henry, to get involved. Thank you!
