Tours

tours_christmasWe are happy to have you visit us! Bryn Athyn Cathedral remains an active house of worship for the New Church and visitors are most welcome.

Guided tours are available Tuesday through Sunday between 1:00-4:00 pm unless the building is being used for a private event or service.  $5 suggested donation.  Reservations are required for groups of 10 or more and there is a fee of $5 per person.  Tours last about 35 minutes.

Please note that the Cathedral and its grounds are closed for all tours during worship and special services.  Please check our church calendar or call ahead (215-947-0266, x4600) to confirm that the Cathedral will be open for tours.

The Cathedral is handicapped accessible and climate controlled.

Historic District tours are available Tuesday through Sunday.  Please call Lisa Parker-Adams at 215-947-2004 to coordinate your tours with Cairnwood, the Cathedral and Glencairn Museum.   bahistoricdistrict.org

Commercial photography is not permitted.  Informal snapshots are most welcome as building and garden photography for personal use only.  Portrait photography is not permitted.  Wedding photography is only permitted for Cathedral weddings.  Please see our Photography Policy for more details.  All photography must be approved in advance and a lanyard must be obtained at the Cathedral front desk during business hours, Monday-Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

School Tours

Bryn Athyn Cathedral offers curriculum-based education programs for pre-school, elementary school and high school students. The programs emphasize medieval architecture, craftsmenship and history. School programs are offered from April through early June. Space is available on site for eating lunch. Many groups combine a visit of Bryn Athyn Cathedral with a tour of Glencairn Museum (just across the street, open weekdays and Saturdays 267-502-2995 or www.glencairnmuseum.org)
