SUMMARY:2026 Independence Day Fireworks/Picnic
DESCRIPTION:Please join us to kick off our country’s 250th celebration. This event is fully funded by YOUR donations – not tax dollars. Please consider\, there are only 1\,400 residents and we need to raise over $16\,000 to fund the fireworks. Consider making an extra special gift this year so we can continue this tradition! Checks can be made to BA Borough (memo: fireworks) and mailed to Box 917\, Bryn Athyn\, PA  19009. Cash or Venmo @BoroughOf-BrynAthyn\nParade and festivities will be held on Saturday\, July 4\, at Benade Circle. \nSCHEDULE OF EVENTS\nFriday\, July 3 \nParking for the fireworks will be available at BACS\, Pitcairn Hall and Asplundh Field House (AFH).\n6:30 pm: Picnic at the Asplundh Field House. BA Borough is providing portable bathrooms for the picnic and fireworks.\n7:00 pm onward: AFH lot will be blocked when full. Officers will provide for crossing at Tomlinson and Buck Roads – please use the intersections or crosswalks for safe crossing. Buck Road will be closed to vehicle traffic between Huntingdon Pike and Tomlinson Road at roughly 7:00 pm.\n9:15 –9:30 pm: Fireworks will begin. After the fireworks display\, ALL traffic must exit AFH lot on to Buck Road – either right toward Tomlinson Road or left to the Lower Moreland High School access road. There will be no access to Huntingdon Pike from Buck Road after the fireworks. Please drive safely and be mindful of all pedestrians.\nNOTE: No dogs or outside fireworks or sparklers allowed! \n

SUMMARY:2026 Independence Day Parade
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, July 4 – Singing\, Parade\, Address and Races (Benade Hall Circle) \nSchedule of Events: \n9:30 am: Musical performance\nParking: Reserved parking for the elderly and handicapped is in the Glenn Field lot next to the turf field. Please arrive early as the entrance will be blocked for the parade route. All others should park on the west side (Buck Road) of Mitchell Performing Arts Center (MPAC)\, Asplundh Field House\, or Pitcairn Hall. NO PARKING AT BENADE HALL\, WEST SIDE OF MPAC or BACS LOT FACING TOMLINSON ROAD (reserved for parade and firetrucks). \n9:30 am: Staging for the parade will begin on College Drive in front of the Doering Center and Swedenborg Library. Park at Bryn Athyn College campus parking lots. Toddlers and little ones with NON-MOTORIZED transport should assemble in the small lot on the Glenn Field (west) side of MPAC – no vehicle parking available. Young attendees will enter the parade route from the MPAC lot and will not have to travel along Tomlinson Road. \n9:45 am Parade Formation: Tomlinson Road will be closed to vehicle traffic between Huntingdon Pike and the east entrance to MPAC. To access the staging area\, please use College Drive during this time.\nThe parade will start at Tomlinson Road and College Drive proceeding east on Tomlinson Road. The Mayor will lead the parade followed by the Boy Scouts and enter the school entrance on the west side of MPAC. The non-motorized\, young children will enter the procession from the MPAC lot and follow the Scouts. All motorized vehicles will be guided to follow the pedestrians and cyclists. BA Fire and Ambulance crews will be at the back of the procession for the safety of everyone. \n10:00 am: The parade will go clockwise around the circle twice and end at Benade Circle. People may go back to the parking area if desired after the first rotation.\nThe parade will be followed by the Pledge of Allegiance\, National Anthem and 4th of July address. Following the speech and announcements\, please proceed on foot across Buck Road for the races at the ANC football field. There are marked areas for safe crossing. The turf field (Glenn Field) will not be used for any activities. \n11:30 am: Races and Egg Toss in the lower practice field (the field close to BACS and the tennis courts). The BA Fire Company will be in the front parking lot (in front of BACS) providing water for children to play in. \n2:00 pm: Horseshoe Contest at the BA Scout Building.
